The Power of Vulnerability: Stories from the Men's Roundtable Series
Something powerful happens when men drop their guards and speak honestly about their experiences. Since launching our Men's Roundtable series, messages have poured in from fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers describing profound shifts in their marriages, self-perception, and personal growth. One listener shared how our conversations changed what he sees when looking in the mirror—a testament to the transformative power of giving men permission to simply be real.
Today's brief but heartfelt episode celebrates these connections and explores why creating safe spaces for men matters. While society often portrays men as emotionally limited, the truth is far more complex. Some men express freely, but many more feel deeply while sharing sparingly. By providing a judgment-free zone to process these complexities, we're witnessing men embrace vulnerability in ways that strengthen their relationships and sense of purpose.
The next Men's Roundtable episode arrives July 25th at 11am EST, tackling an even more challenging topic as we continue peeling back the layers of modern masculinity. I'm especially passionate about countering the narrative that men are consistently falling short. Every day, I witness countless men doing the difficult, sometimes messy work of showing up as partners, parents, siblings, and sons with commitment and integrity. They may not be perfect, but they deserve to be seen and celebrated. We're in this journey together, refusing to relent in our pursuit of authentic manhood. Share your thoughts with me directly—I'd love to give you a shoutout on our next episode.

Thank you, welcome back to the All Purpose Pod for an all-purpose life. Wherever you are and however you're listening to the Call Me, mr you the podcast. Thanks again for making us part of your week in a very rare audio-only episode of our show. My hair is a mess so I didn't want you guys to see that on video, but I just wanted to let you guys know, first off, that we appreciate all of the messages we're getting from you guys support for all the episodes and topics and things that we're touching on. I'm having meetings, virtual coffees, people who are just finding the content incredibly relevant to them where they are. So definitely appreciate all that you guys are doing for us and with us. All of this content, these shows that I'm trying to put out here into the ether, is with you guys in mind and it's with you guys always on my mind. Hopefully I'm meeting a need with some of the content that we're putting out here for you guys. It's about you as much as it is about me. I just want to say thank you for all you guys are putting out in this really quick episode. I wanted to shout out all of the men that I've been hearing from, all of the brothers, the warriors, their fathers, their husbands, the sons, the brothers who are reaching out to me Let me know what they've been feeling and how the men's round table series has been resonating with them. It's been a few weeks since we did our premiere episode and I'm still hearing from you guys. I'm still hearing how that impacted your life, your marriage, the way you see yourself when you look in the mirror. I'm hearing some astounding things. So, man, I'm excited. Actually, man, I'm over the moon with excitement, man, just because of what I'm hearing. So thank you guys for sharing it, because I would not have known otherwise had you not shared it with me. So I appreciate that. Please keep those messages coming to me. I'd love to hear more from you guys regarding that, the impact it's had on you, your thoughts about some of the topics and even topics that you may want to have us discuss on future episodes of the Men's Roundtable series. So let me know how that works for you.
Speaker 1:But I guess also, my heart today is the idea of men helping men. You know there are so many different labels and a lot of mixture in regards to how we're supposed to be or how we're perceived, or people think we should do or how people think we should act. But what's awesome about the Men's Roundtable series is that we just talk about what we understand. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel, we're not trying to fix all of the problems. We're just talking about what we know. We're talking about what we feel, and for men that's a big step. We rarely ever do it. Some men are feelers, some men are over feelers and we talk about everything and maybe perhaps we overshare. But most men the majority of men are on the other side of that dynamic. They share less. They feel a lot, but they share less about how they feel. And the Men's Roundtable series has been opening some doors. It's a safe space. We talked about it many times and we're going to definitely hold to that. We're not allowing anybody to make it an unsafe space for us men, so we're going to continue to keep doing that.
Speaker 1:Our second episode of the Men's Roundtable series will be coming up July 25th I believe it is At 11 o'clock AM EST. So we got a morning broadcast Coming up this month For all those folks that are on the West Coast and for those that have their mornings free, or you're going to watch us on replay and check it out, then, without a doubt, I'm sure you're going to enjoy the content, this topic I won't spoil it but this topic is a really tough one for men. So the topic is going to get harder and more broad and more deeper because as men, we got a lot of layers and we're very complex. So we're going to get into a lot more stuff there. But I just wanted to come over here and shout you guys out real quick. Let you guys know that I appreciate you, all that you do in all the areas of your lives.
Speaker 1:I see a whole bunch of men that are doing it and they're doing it well. People talk about men as if they're coming up short, but I know plenty of men More fingers and toes than I have on my body that I see men who are doing it. They're doing the work and they're doing it with excellence. They're pushing forward to be the men of God they're supposed to be. They're pushing forward to be the husbands to their wives and the fathers to their children and the brothers to their sisters and siblings. They're who they're supposed to be. They're even being sons to their parents. They're being exactly who they're supposed to be. It's not perfect. It's not pretty, sometimes it's kind of grimy and messy, but they're doing the work and they should be applauded.
Speaker 1:So our upcoming roundtable series and episodes, just like this one, I'll be shouting you guys out, letting you know that I appreciate you, I see you and you know what. We're in this together. We are not going to relent. We got a work to do and we're going to do it together. So we're in this together. We are not going to relent. We got work to do and we're going to do it together. So I'm proud of you guys. Continue to keep listening. Thanks for sharing us with your friends and your people. Look forward to hearing from you guys really soon. And, by the way, drop me a text. I'll shout you out on the next show. Have a great day, guys. Thank you.
