Mista Yu

Our team thought it was a great idea to start rewinding previous (but timely) episodes of our show during the times that Mista Yu is away from the microphone. All of these beautiful Blasts from the Past were previously broadcast, but we are sharing them with you at a time when you might need them most. Hope you enjoy the review!

What if today is the day everything shifts? Not next month, not when the stars align—today. We take that question seriously and unpack how to turn desire into readiness across your finances, habits, faith, and daily decisions. Instead of waiting for perfect timing, we map out the small, repeatable steps that build real momentum and capacity for the opportunities you’re praying for.

We share why starting where you are is the most powerful move you can make, and how to define a clear destination so your actions stop drifting. From diversifying income and organizing key documents to honing skills and surrounding yourself with wise counsel, we break down a practical approach to preparation in a world that often feels uncertain. You’ll hear plain talk about cash buffers, systems that survive disruptions, and removing distractions that crowd out the things you truly want.

We also dig into the character side of success—because when money, attention, or influence shows up, it amplifies your habits. Integrity, boundaries, and consistency aren’t optional; they’re what allow you to keep what you’ve worked for. Through simple frameworks and honest questions, we invite you to trade slogans for plans, and plans for action. If opportunity knocked right now, would you have room to let it in?

So this is indeed the all-purpose pod for an all-purpose life. We're gonna get into it in a future episode. I'll be sharing with you guys, especially on video on our social media platform. So be looking out for it. It's coming real soon. I think you're gonna be as excited as we are. Definitely excited. But uh, I want to chat with you guys today. Today is a uh kind of a sobering day. I got a lot of uh had a several meetings this past week, and I have one today as well that's gonna probably be in line with this. But I've been getting a lot of uh really strong advice in regards to you know some of the things that we deal with, you know, with the world that we're living in, the changes that are happening, and and how we prepare for it. Uh I've entitled this episode today, What if today was the day? I think that it's important that we kind of touch this. We may touch it on future episodes, future videos, but for today, what if today was the day? I mean, look at it in this scenario. Kind of walk through this journey with me this morning. You knew it was coming. Every day was planned out to get to that particular day. You couldn't put on your calendar because you didn't have uh an exact date or time, but you knew it was gonna come. You prepared yourself, you had everything packed, you had everything ready to go, you had all your ducks in a row, so to speak, all your paperwork in order, all your resources that you usually use to get information and updates. It's updated, it's on tap. You can access it easily. All the information and wisdom that you would need in order to be fruitful leading up to this time, this day that you've been waiting for. You're in the right circles, you're getting the right education. If mentorship is a requirement, you're getting that. What if today was the day? Would you be ready for it? You know what's gonna happen, but you just don't know when. And you also don't know how, but you know what's gonna happen. This is just a general idea that I'm spitting to you guys today, but uh in everything that we do, we have to have a destination. We know what the starting point is. The starting point is right now. It's not in the past where you may have been uh unfairly treated or you may have been adversely challenged in some way. The starting point is right now, where you are today. If you can hear me, if you're living and moving and breathing, this is your starting point. Today is it. This is where you start. That's important because if you don't start, you definitely won't finish. The runner that doesn't get on the track is never gonna finish the race. They have to at least be on the track to start. Before they start running, they gotta at least be on the right track. It's the same with you. Where you have to have a destination. What's the destination? What's the day that you're working towards? What are you fighting for? What are you laboring for? What are you striving for? What are you trying to accomplish? We're hearing all kinds of things in our world now about blackouts and outages and world war threes. How do you prepare when you hear something like that? We're not giving advice on that today, but I'm just asking a general question. How do you prepare for that when you hear things of that nature? You're talking about blackouts and outages and world wars and enemy attacks. How do you prepare for that? I meet people all the time who talk about they want financial stability in their life, they want to have financial freedom. It's their goal in life, it's all that they want. But when we talk about preparation, and this is not the cancer disparaging light on anybody I've spoken to. If you're listening to this podcast, this is not about you, this is just a general statement. We talk about financial freedom and financial stability, like it's a catchphrase. But when we talk about preparation, where are you in the process? The days already started, you're already on the right track. What have you done? How have you prepared to have that kind of financial freedom to live well? What have you done on a day-to-day basis? Usually, a high percentage of the people that I speak to haven't done anything. They're kind of just waiting for it to just happen in their life. And if you don't already know this, you should already know by now that hope is not a strategy. People talk about family planning and establishing a legacy, generational wealth, things of that nature. What have you done to prepare for that? It has to go beyond just savings and a 401k. You lose your job, the 401k is not relevant anymore. How are you prepared for this day that you've been waiting for? It doesn't matter what the day is, you can decide that. It could be a flourishing career, it could be starting a family, you could be preparing your family for events that are happening in our world that adversely affect us. It could be a financial freedom, it could be the last day of your life you're preparing for. Everything you're doing is to make sure that everything is in a row and all your paperwork and all of your your life efforts will better prepare you for that day. Or the afterlife. People have to think about those things as well. We can't just live and not think about okay, so what do all what did all our living gain us? What's the reward for all of our living? And I get in super spiritual here, we're just saying that preparation is key in every area. And I feel as though we don't prepare very well. We have a corporate almost a corporate mentality that we're gonna just have fun and enjoy, our friends, our circles, and we're not prepared for any changes that could happen in the midst of that group, or even in the world around us, or even in the bubble that we live in, we're not prepared for change. We think it's never gonna happen to us. We're doing so well, we're so good, we're nice people, but we're not prepared for the changes. My favorite passage of scripture is Matthew 25, talking about the parable of the ten virgins. You can read it on your own if you'd like to, if you're so inclined. But the short story is that there were ten virgins that were being prepared, educated the same way with the same information and resources. Five of them were prepared, five of them left it the chance and waited to the last minute, and found themselves on the outside of the place that they worked so hard, they prepared so long to get to, and they never made it. That's a scary proposition for those of us who refuse to prepare. Opportunity is gonna knock. Will you be prepared? Is my question. Great things are gonna happen in your life. Will you be ready to receive it? People talk about oh, I want to have wealth, I want to have riches, I want to have fame. If that stuff hits your life right now where you are, would you be ready for it? I know some I know some arrogant folks, some friends of mine that are pretty arrogant, and they will say, Yes, I'm totally ready. I've been waiting for this all my life, but they're not prepared. Nothing in their life has changed to make room or make preparation for that event to in effect happen in their life. They're not ready for it. My friends, I know them, that's how I know they're not prepared for it. They're just waiting for good things to happen, but they have no room in their life for it. They got so much other stuff that uh substitutes that uh placebos in a way. Just placating them in the place that they are. They got so much good, there's no room for God. Are you prepared for the day? What if today was that day? The day you've been waiting for, what you've been looking for, what you've been wanting, what you've been desiring. Here's my question to leave you with Are you ready for it? We talk about I'm ready for a blessing right now, and we and we see that in religious circles all the time. They want we want blessings poured out on us. We want to have all the good things. Are we ready for it? Do we have the character to maintain it? People win the lottery all the time, but they don't have the character to hold all that money and they end up blowing it all and are more penniless now than they were before they hit the lottery. Do you have the character and the integrity to handle the thing that you say you want? What if today was that day? Would you be ready?
